Adams and Blum compete at State Tennis Tournament

The Clear Lake doubles team of Mac Adams and Aaron Blum played in the Iowa State Tennis Tournament on Friday, May 24.  First round matches were played inside because of rain.

Adams and Blum got off to a fast start, winning their first set 6-1.  Unfortunately, the duo could not keep the momentum.  They lost a tough match to Alex Best and Brady Williams, of Clarinda.  The scores were 1-6, 7-6, 7-5.  The team then took on a team from Decorah.  They lost this match, 6-1, 6-2, and were eliminated from the competition.

“I am very proud of what Mac and Aaron accomplished this year.  The results at State were not what we wanted.  The two seniors will be missed next year,” said Coach Rich Peters.
