GHV boys soccer team falls to top ranked Webster City

On Monday, April 25, the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura boys soccer team faced a tough Webster City team.  There is a reason the Lynx are ranked in the top 10 in Class 2A.  Webster City topped the Cardinals, 6-1.

“Webster City is a very good team, so we knew it was going to be tough,” said Coach Eric Williams.  “We struggled the entire game to hold possession and couldn’t finish on the opportunities in front of us.”

Patrick Terhark scored the Cardinals’ lone goal on an assist from Ryan Myers.

Terhark had three shots on goal, while Connor Burke had two and Jonah Albertson had one.

Aidan McRobie had four saves at the goalie position.

“I’m looking forward to this last month, as I can see the team getting better each and every game,” said Williams.  “If we can get our first touches under control we will be a really tough team.”
