Janet L. Daniels

Janet Lue (Cooley) Daniels, 59, of Clear Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at her home.

Per Janet’s wishes, her body has been cremated and a memorial Mass is being held in Bay Village, Ohio.

Janet was born on Dec. 25, 1956, in Pasadena, Calif.  She was the first of three children born to Gloria (Shaffer) and Robert Cooley.  Janet was a graduate of Bay High School in 1975.  She attended Arizona State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Communications.  Following graduation, she moved to the Cleveland area, where she resided for most of her adult life.

She enjoyed spending time with her family.  She had a love for all animals, particularly cats, which earned her the nickname, “Grandma Kitty,” from her grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her parents, Robert and Gloria (Shaffer) Cooley, of Clear Lake; two sons, Philip (Kelly) Daniels, of North Ridgeville, Ohio and Patrick Daniels, of Cleveland, Ohio; seven grandchildren; a brother, Philip (Shirley-Ann) Cooley, of South Africa; and a sister, Pattie (Mark) McLaughlin, of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Chelsea Gene Daniels.

Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
