The Clear Lake boys ran into a buzz saw at Osage Thursday in the Class 2A District 4 semifinal round.  The top seed Osage Green Devils excelled on their home floor in a 70-50 victory.

“We knew playing the number one seed in our district on the road in their gym would present some challenges and we certainly had some,” said Lions Coach Jeremy Ainley.

The game was actually much closer than the final score indicates.

Thousands of people turned out Saturday to enjoy Color the Wind in the unseasonably warm weather.  Kite fliers donned their waterproof boots and ice cleats as the sun had melted the snow cover on the lake, making it very wet and slippery, but still safe for the venture.  Organizers Larry and Kay Day declined to guess how

History has come alive for Clear Lake High School students, and soon the public will share in the experience.

Clear Lake business leaders received an introduction to training they never hope they need.

“Someone enters your workplace with a weapon and starts firing.  A horrible thought,” the Chamber of Commerce stated in its invitation for members to attend Friday’s ALICE training.
