In the age of digital media, we sometimes forget we are dependent on machines for our print editions. Due to a press machine mechanical problem we are unable to print the Sept. 30 edition of the Clear Lake Mirror-Reporter in time for Wednesday delivery. We will still be printing this edition and delivering to subscribers as soon as possible. At this time we expect it to arrive in mailboxes Thursday. Election Day is officially Tuesday, Nov. 3, however one could argue that the 2020 General Election truly begins in just a couple weeks.

On Monday, Oct. 5, county auditors across the state will start to allow in-person voting at their offices and begin the process of mailing out general election ballots to voters who have requested to vote absentee.
