Clear Lake hosted Iowa Falls-Alden in their first North Central Conference match of the season Thursday, Sept. 3.  The Cadets went home with a 3-0 win.

The Lions pushed their opponent in the first game, but fell 25-16.  IF-A captured the second and third games by scores of 25-11 and 25-7.

“IF-A served very well and we had a tough time getting anything going with our serve receive, which dictated our inability to get consistent sets or attacks at the net,” said Lions Coach Keith Sears.   “We have some time off until our next games at Charles City in a Tri-Match (Mason City and Charles City) on Thursday, Sept. 10.”

Jessica Faber led the Lions with  four kills, followed by Emily Snelling with three.  Chloe Mueller had a team-high 20 digs and Snelling had 15. Marne Euken was 7/7 from the line serving.  Snelling was 5/7 and Faber was 3/4 at the service line.
