The Clear Lake City Council will present a resolution of necessity on the 1965 street program.  A public hearing on the $80,000 program will be scheduled at a later date.

The steeple of the new Clear Lake Zion Lutheran Church building was hoisted into place by Andrews Concrete Products Inc.  It took a 30-ton crane.  The steeple weighs nearly two tons.

The mercury hit 90 degrees on July 4th.

Grocery specials for the week at Shop-N-Save include:  sugar, 10 lb. bag, 89¢; sweet corn 6/39¢; chuck roast, lb., 49¢; apples, 3 lbs., 49¢; and Shurbest Ice Cream, 1/2 gal., 49¢.
