Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Petersen have purchased the lunch room adjoining the Lake Theatre from Jim Anderson.  Mrs. Petersen plans to operate it and she will continue to work at the Standard Service Station.

The city has purchased 15,000 gallons of oil to be used on city streets.

Cerro Gordo County population is 43,812 according to the census.  It was 38,476 in 1930.

Dorothy Louise O’Neill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ned O’Neill, entered the novice in the Ottumwa convent of the Sisters of Humility of Mary.
