Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser to be held

A Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser for the Cerro Gordo County Relay for Life will be held during Clear Lake vs. Mason City football games Friday night, Aug. 28.

A “bucket run” will be held during halftime of the 7:30 p.m. varsity game; a bake sale will be held throughout the freshman and varsity games.  All proceeds will benefit the Cerro Gordo County Relay for Life.

The Lions vs. Mohawks freshman game kicks off at 4:45 p.m. Friday, followed by the varsity game at 7:30 p.m.

"Black Out" night planned

The Clear Lake Lions will host Mason City on Friday, Aug. 28.  The Clear Lake crowd is asked to participate in "Black Out" night.

In support of the Lions, fans are asked to wear black and cheer loudly.

Veterans to be honored throughout the evening

In conjunction with Operation LZ, the Vietnam Veterans along with any other Veterans, will be honored at the Clear Lake vs. Mason City football game on Friday, Aug. 28.  All Vets will be admitted free of charge and be honored throughout the evening.
