Borseth named Dean of Students at Clear Creek
Clear Lake High School Band Director Brandon Borseth will be marching to Clear Creek Elementary School next school year. Borseth, who came to CLHS in 2013, has been named a full-time dean of students at Clear Creek Elementary School.
Superintendent Doug Gee explained the district has been operating with a part-time dean of students at the elementary level for two years. Deb Sharar was a .5 elementary dean and .5 high school guidance counselor.
“With 679 students (pre-kindergarten through fifth grade) we felt that we needed a full-time dean in that position,” said Gee.
Borseth was chosen after an interview process. He was offered a full-time teaching contract with 10 extended days.
“Brandon has done a great job as a instrumental music instructor and will be missed in that capacity, but we are really excited to have him involved with our elementary staff and students,” added Gee.
