Christie Grattidge

Christie Ann (Hansen) Grattidge, 61, of Clear Lake, passed away Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, in Mason City, Iowa.

Per Christie’s wishes, her body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, at the Clear Lake VFW, 219 Main Ave., Clear Lake.  Inurnment will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to the Christie Grattidge Memorial Fund.

Christie Ann (Hansen) Grattidge was born Dec. 6, 1954, in Mason City, the daughter of Ray and Irene Hansen.  She was a 1973 graduate of Clear Lake High School.

Christie was united in marriage to Mark D. Grattidge on Dec. 13, 1990, in Las Vegas, Nev.

Christie was known for her friendliness and would talk to anyone. Christie enjoyed gardening, boating, traveling and taking care of her many cats and dogs.

Christie is survived by her husband, Mark D. Grattidge, Clear Lake; mother, Irene Hansen, Whitefish, Mont.; brother, Tom Hansen, Kalispell, Mont.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Christie was preceded in death by her father, Ray Hansen; her brother, Terry Hansen; and her grandparents.

Christie’s husband, Mark, would like to express a special Thank You to Willi Grimm, Mercy Hospital, and especially to Muse-Norris Hospice for the exceptional care Christie received during her final stages of life.

Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
