The Clear Lake and Garner-Hayfield-Ventura girls track teams finally got off and running at a timing meet held on Thursday, April 12, in Garner.  The meet was not scored and no field events were held, but the meet gave the runners an opportunity to get on a track and get some times posted.

“It’s been a crazy season for weather and it felt great to finally be on a track racing,” said GHV Coach Dyan Childress.  “I was happy with how the girls did for the first meet of the season.  Our indoor training has given us a start.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate so we can get in some good hard workouts on the track.”
