CL girls have three named to NCC teams
Four members of the Clear Lake girls softball team have received All-North Central Conference honors.
Outfielders Sara Faber and Macy Mixdorf, along with infielder Julia Merfeld, were named to the Second Team. Catcher Erin O’Tool was a third team selection.
Faber, an eighth grader, finished the season with a batting average of .370 and slugging percentage of .620. She had three home runs, one triple and 12 doubles this season, helping her to record 38 RBIs. She scored 19 runs in 28 games for the Lions.
Mixdorf, a freshman, had a batting average of .377 and slugging percentage of .509. She had one home run, one triple and nine doubles to rack up 21 RBIs. She had 40 hits in 29 games and scored 29 runs.
Merfeld, an eighth grader who played shortstop for the Lions, had a batting average of .349 and slugging percentage of .349 in 29 games played. She had 37 hits and scored 22 runs for the team. She was credited with seven RBIs.
O’Tool, a senior, carried a .355 batting average and .447 slugging percentage through 27 games played. She had 27 hits, including a triple and five doubles. She scored 16 runs for the team and had 11 RBIs.
