CL police assist in North Iowa drug bust

The Clear Lake Police Department was part of a multi-agency effort to execute six search warrants as part of an investigation into a methamphetamine and fentanyl distribution group in the North Iowa Area.

On Thursday, May 5, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department, with the assistance of 11 other agencies, executed search warrants at the following Mason City locations:

•1637 N. Delaware Ave.

•1633 N. Delaware Ave.

•18 14th St. N.E.

•1224 N. Washington Ave., Apt. 1

•202 N. Madison Ave.

In addition, a search warrant was used at 208 East Spring Street in Manly, Iowa.

Felix Allen Arp, 30, of Mason City, was arrested and taken into custody.  Arp has been charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, a Class B Felony, possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver, a Class C Felony, possession of marijuana, a Class D Felony, and three counts of drug tax stamp violations, all Class D felonies. 

Recovered at the warrants was methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  

According to Sheriff Kevin Pals, the case is ongoing and other charges are pending involving the case.  

Assisting in the case were: Clear Lake police, Iowa State Patrol Troopers ad Tactical team, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, North Iowa Narcotics Task Force Special Operations Team and Investigators, Story County ERT, Manly Police Department, Mason City Police Department, Worth County Sheriff’s Department and Task Forces from Waterloo, Tri-County, Mid Iowa Task Force and Central Iowa Drug Task Force.
