CL School Board sets 2016-17 calendar

The Clear Lake School Board has approved the district’s 2016-17 school calendar.

The school year will largely follow the same schedule as the current school year, with classes beginning Wednesday, Aug. 24, and concluding  May 26.

The district will continue to have weekly early dismissals (2 p.m. Wednesdays) to accommodate teacher professional development sessions.

There will be no school Wednesday-Friday, Nov. 23-25, for the Thanksgiving holiday.  The Christmas break will begin with an early dismissal Friday, Dec. 23.  Classes will resume Jan. 3.

Spring break will be the week of March 13-17.

Graduation is set for May 21.
