Clear Lake will begin search for interim Middle School principal

The Clear Lake School Board met in special session Tuesday morning to discuss filling its Middle School principal position with an interim leader.

Superintendent Doug Gee said Principal Steve Kwikkel, who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, is unable to continue his duties due to his health.  According to Gee, the district will look to hire an interim principal for the rest of the 2018-19 school year.

While searching for an interim principal, Gee will take over the Middle School principal duties while also tending to his responsibilities as superintendent.  High School Principal Chris Murphy and Assistant Principal Dale Ludwig will also help on the days that require Gee to be out of the district for meetings.
