CLFD anniversary showcases then and now
Members of the Clear Lake Fire Department invited the public to help celebrate its 150th anniversary Saturday with an open house at the fire station and museum. The museum is home to early fire fighting apparatus, including a 1924 Ahrens Fox Fire Engine and early hose cart. At the fire station, visitors were able to tour, as well as operate some of the high-tech equipment used today in emergency situations. Pictured, Tucker Finstad (left) and his father, Jim (right), let eager minds try their hand at operating the department’s underwater drone. - Reporter photo by Chris Barragy.
