Dale E. Casebolt
Dale Edward Casebolt, 69, of Clear Lake, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at his home.
Per Dale’s wishes, his body has been cremated and no services are planned.
Dale was born Aug. 26, 1951, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Orlan Verle and Irene Deloris (Eibey) Casebolt. He attended and graduated from Ventura High School in 1967. Following high school, Dale enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged two years later.
When he came home, Dale went to Waldorf College for two years. He also worked at Winnebago Industries for 10 years. Dale furthered his education at Iowa State University, graduating with a vocational drafting and drafting engineering degree. He moved back to Ventura and was self-employed as a design engineer and architect for clients of the local lumberyards, Mechanical Air Supply, in Mason City, the Ventura Library, as well as other notable projects.
Dale loved spending time at the family acreage and moved out there after his father passed. He moved into Clear Lake a few years before his mother died.
His hobbies included working on and driving classic cars.
Dale is survived by his sister, Kathy (Ed) Schroeder, Garner, and brother, Tim (Janeen) Casebolt, Ladoga, Ind.; several nieces and nephews; and his aunts, Shirley Eibey, Clear Lake, and Lois Fields, Salida, Colo.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents.
Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
