Dale Prescott

Dale E. Prescott, 81, of Mission, Texas, died Thursday, June 4, 2015.

Dale was born in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, to Burton and Alta Prescott.  He was baptized at Clear Lake United Methodist Church and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1952.

On Sept. 8, 1953, Dale enlisted in the United States Air Force.  He served active duty Jan. 1954-Oct. 1957.  Airman First Class.

On Nov. 15, 1954 he married Donna Dankbar.  This this union three sons were born.

In 1957 Dale went on standby reserve with the Air Force to go home to farm the family farm.  He was on standby reserve until he was honorable discharged in January, 1962.

Dale was a pilot and also owned his own plane.  He was a farmer and also a truck driver.  In his retirement Dale enjoyed traveling, playing pool, playing his keyboard at jam sessions, taking care of his home and his orange trees.  He also developed a passion for cooking.

Dale is survived by his ex-wife, Donna, of Albert Lea, Minn.; children, Allen Prescott and his wife, Sandy, of Albert Lea, Steve Prescott and his wife, Ronda, of Fertile, Iowa, Loren Prescott and his wife, Treena, of Pocatello, Idaho; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Ronald Prescott and wife, Helen, from Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Ray Christensen, of Clear Lake.
