Dale S. Sargent
Dale Steven Sargent, 76, of 27 Lido Rd., Clear Lake, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, in Clear Lake.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at United Methodist Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dr. Jacqueline Thompson officiating. Family will greet friends one hour before the service at the church. A private burial will be held at Clear Lake Cemetery.

Dale was born in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Don and Martha (Ryan) Sargent on July 14, 1939. He attended Clear Lake High School and graduated in 1957. He attended NIACC, where he played basketball. He received his degree in pharmacy from Drake University, in Des Moines, Iowa. Dale married Janelle Wilcox on March 12, 1961. Of this union, two children were born, Jennifer and Jeffrey. Dale worked at Mercy Medical Center as the head of pharmacy for 28 years. He also worked at Casey Drug Store, in Clear Lake. He continued practicing pharmacy at various locations until he retired.
Family and friends were always important to Dale. He was concerned about the welfare of those around him whether they were his patients, family, or friends. Dale enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball, softball, and tennis in his younger days. He was an avid fisherman, both in Minnesota and Clear Lake. He rode his bike with his dogs and his grandchildren, Sarah and Stephen. Dale was known for his sense of humor and driving around town in his little red truck with his Boston Terriers, Josie and Rocky, and smoking his cigar.
Dale is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janelle Sargent, Clear Lake; his daughter, Jennifer Moore, Scottsdale, Az.; his son, Jeff (Heather) Sargent, Highland, Utah; four grandchildren, Sarah Moore, Tucson, Az., Stephen Moore, Lamoni, Iowa, Sophia and Isabella Sargent, Highland, Utah; one brother, Dean Sargent, Texas; half-siblings, Peggy Hegwer and Mark Sargent, Carthage, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Felik, Don Sargent, Joanna Sargent, and Martha Felik; his mother and father in-laws, Wayne and Nell Wilcox; and his son in-law, Bruce Moore.
Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
