Eric Youngstrom

Eric Youngstrom, 63, formerly of Clear Lake, passed away peacefully with family at this side, on Sept. 27, 2018, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Eric was born on Feb. 10, 1955, in Newton.  The family relocated to Clear Lake in 1969, where he graduated from high school in 1973.  After attending the University of Iowa, Eric spent time in St. Louis, Mo., College Park, Md., Springfield, Mo. and Albuquerque, N.M., before returning to the Twin Cities to be closer to his immediate family.

He was a beloved and true fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the St. Louis Cardinals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Jane.

He is survived by sister, Holly Monson, of Richfield, Minn.; brothers, Scott (Maureen), of San Clemente, Calif., Todd (Kathryn), of Woodbury, Minn.; and his stepson, Keith Kappedal, of Springfield, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.  Memorials in his name can be sent to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
