William Penn Women’s Golf Coach Chris Pierson has announced the signing of Bailee Frayne to a National Letter of Intent to attend the University next fall and compete for the women’s golf program.
Bailee, the daughter of Bryan and Cheila Frayne, is a native of Garner and currently attends Garner-Hayfield-Ventura High School. She is a two-time First-Team All-State performer and has qualified for state three times. Her three conference tournament crowns have helped her be named Conference Player of the Year on three occasions.
An all-conference player in volleyball as well, Frayne has also succeeded in the books as an Honor Roll student.
“The first time I stepped on campus, it felt like home,” Frayne said. “When I met Coach Pierson, I knew he was the type of coach I wanted to play for. I want to thank my family, friends, and also my community for all the support throughout the years.”
“Bailee is a well-known player in the state of Iowa,” Pierson said. “She has battled against some of our state’s best golfers these last few years which has helped her to prepare for the college level. She will be a great addition to our program and the university.”
William Penn, which is ranked 21st in the NAIA, won two tournaments during the fall season.
