GHV girls soccer team still looking for a win

The Garner-Hayfield-Ventura girls soccer team is still looking for their first win of the season.  With four losses, the Cardinals moved their record to 0-9.

Mason City 5, GHV 0

The Cardinals traveled to Mason City on Monday, April 30, where the Mohawks handed GHV a 5-0 loss.

Morgan Westendorf had seven saves in the goalie position.

Payton Echelberger had three shots, one on goal and she also had a yellow card.  Hannah Whelan had two shots on goal.  Jackie Van Oort had one shot.

A-P 8, GHV 0

It was another tough road trip for the Cardinals when they traveled to Parkersburg on Friday, May 4, to play a tough, competitive Aplington-Parkersburg team.  A-P made short order of the game, defeating GHV, 8-0.

Morgan Westendorf played her heart out with 17 saves.

Maddie Williams led the offense with two shots and one shot on goal.  Abby Kale and Jackie Van Oort each had one shot on goal.
