GHV wrestlers working hard

On Thursday, Jan. 14, the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura wrestling team competed in a quadrangular at Osage.  The Cardinals were 1-2 at the quadrangular.  GHV topped Northwood-Kensett, 42-36, but fell to North Butler, 42-35 and to Osage, 54-27.

“The scores of the duals don’t reflect the kid’s efforts,” said Coach Cory Jenniges.  “We had a couple of open weights and that has been hurting us all year.”

Jace Pringnitz, Conner Shaw and Cade Baker all finished with perfect 3-0 records.  Pringnitz wrestled at 126-pounds, Shaw won at 170-pounds and Baker wrestled at 182-pounds.  Austin Case, 113-pounds and Chase Ulven, heavyweight both finished with records of 2-1.
