Haag named to Class 1A Southeast All District team

Mackenzie Haag, a member of the Garner-Hayfield/Ventura girls soccer team, was selected to the Class 1A Southeast All District Second Team.

Haag was a four year letterwinner and was a team captain for two years.  She was a leader on defense and on offense she scored two goals and had two assists for the season.  Her defensive skills helped her team to accomplish five shutouts for the year.

“Mackenzie is a born leader and great soccer player,” said Coach Josh Banse.  “Her work ethic is second to none.  She can play anywhere in the field.  We utilized her as our leader on the defensive side of the ball, because she is very composed and has great field awareness.  She deserves every accolade she gets.”
