James F. Spratt
James (Jim) Franklin Spratt, 74, of Oklahoma City, Okla. was called upon to play 18 holes in Heaven on Dec. 17, 2020.
“Spratt” was the name well known by all his friends. He was born on July 24, 1946, in Mason City, Iowa to Jacob and Elsa Spratt.
After graduating high school he joined the United States Army and deployed to Vietnam. He received an honorable discharge after serving his contract.
He married his wife, Le, on March 22, 1973. They raised four children. Jim was an entrepreneur. He owned many businesses in his time: Sprattco, Vans Pig Stand, Spark Plug and JR Remodeling Company. He later worked for UPS and retired from there. “Spratt” was a member of the VFW in OKC.
Jim Spratt enjoyed playing golf and helping others. He had a big heart. His wife would say he was generous to others quite often. He spent his summers in Clear Lake, where he grew up. He played golf often and visited family and friends. He was also a member of the VFW in Clear Lake. He loved the 4th of July. He would always have his family with him and they would have the greatest time.
One great achievement Spratt dreamt of accomplishing and finally did was making a hole in one! Nov. 16, 2020, on hole number 17 he fullfiled that dream!!
Jim is preceded in death by his father, Jacob Spratt; mother, Elsa (Broyles) Spratt; and his brothers, Jacob Spratt, Charles Spratt, and Don Spratt.
He is survived by his wife, Le Spratt (Tuyet Nga), of Oklahoma City; daughter, Sheila Spratt, of Norman, Okla.; sons, David Spratt, of Tulsa, Okla., John Spratt, of Noble, Okla., Shawn Spratt, of Tulsa; sister, Judy Spratt, of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Jeremy, Sarah, Conner, Louis, Daven, Allie, Mychelle, Michael, Tyler, Taylor, Eason, Emarie, Mathieu, Serenity, and Siloh.
