Keegan R. Taylor

Keegan Robert Taylor, 22, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at home, in Mason City.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Agape Christian Family Church, 2810 Highway 18 West, Clear Lake, with Pastors Dave and Kris Toyne officiating. A private inurnment will be held in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Rockwell, Iowa, at a later date.

Keegan was born Jan. 15, 1993, to Bob and Wendy (Hart) Taylor, in Mason City. He graduated from Newman Catholic Schools in 2011. He was employed at AGP, Ag Processing as a Prep Operator.

Keegan was engaged to be married to Devinee Castillo, of Mason City.

Keegan loved his faith and family. He was actively involved in the Agape Christian Church, in Clear Lake, and had a passion for Newman Catholic High School wrestling. Keegan had the heart of a giver, and he was always looking for ways to care for those around him. He selflessly gave of himself and his time to improve the lives of his friends and family who loved him dearly. The name Keegan means small and fiery – which his friends and family will attest was a perfect fit.

Keegan is survived by his parents, Bob and Wendy, of Mason City; and two brothers, Ben Taylor, of Sioux City, Iowa, and Ely Taylor, of Mason City. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Barbara Hart and Mary Ann Taylor, both of Mason City; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; his beloved dog, Molly and his naughty cat, Dice.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bryan F. Taylor and John D. Hart.

The Taylor Family wishes to thank all those that have extended their wishes of condolences.

Keegan would be honored to have memorials directed to the Newman Foundation to support the wrestling program.
