La Verda Huisman
La Verda Maxine Huisman, 81, of Clear Lake, died Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Oakwood Care Center, in Clear Lake.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel. Inurnment will be at Graceland Cemetery, in Buffalo Center, Iowa, at a later date.
Family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of North Iowa.
La Verda was born on Sept. 9, 1934, the daughter of Harm and Rena (Weichers) Huisman, in Wellsburg, Iowa. She enjoyed sewing, fishing and gardening.
La Verda is survived by three brothers, Roland (Eliene) Huisman, of Tehachapi, Calif., Duane (Betty) Huisman, of Waverly, Iowa, and Alan (Mitzi) Huisman, of Livingston, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
