Larry LaGue

Larry C. LaGue, 76, of Clear Lake, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with the Rev.Denny Ganz officiating. Burial was in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Larry LaGue was born June 27, 1941, son of Esther and Claire LaGue, in Iowa City.  He attended Clear Lake Schools.  Larry was united in marriage to Diane (Sorensen) on Aug. 5, 1962 in Clear Lake, and to this union two sons were born.

Larry worked various jobs in the Clear Lake area.

He enjoyed being outside fishing, camping and going on motorcycle trips.  Later in life, he enjoyed boating, and most of all he enjoyed his cats.    

Larry is survived by his wife, Diane LaGue, Clear Lake; son, Jeff LaGue and his wife, Domenie, Clear Lake; brother, Rick LaGue, Manly, Iowa; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry C. Jr.; father and mother-in-law, Dale and Helen Sorensen.

Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, was in charge of arrangements.
