Lester earns a conference title for CL track team

Clear Lake track performers recorded 32 personal bests and Zach Lester earned a conference title for the Lions at the North Central Conference Track Meet Monday, May 7, in Humboldt.

Lester won the high jump with a leap of 6’3”.  The senior was also a member of the runner-up Distance Medley relay team.  Speed Toyne, Luke Eggers, Justin Wright and Lester were clocked in 3:51.28.  Wright also claimed runner-up honors in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:05.77.

“We finished fifth out of eight teams in an extremely talented conference,” said Coach AJ Feuerbach.  “We had 32 personal records on the night for our competitors, so that means our kids are performing their best at the end of the season.  That is what we need as we head to an extremely tough District.”
