Lions capture two wins

CL 163, New Hampton 167

The Lions battled adverse weather conditions and a tough New Hampton team Monday, April 10.  Clear Lake prevailed, 163-167.

“New Hampton is a highly ranked team in Class 2A.  I think they will be a big hurdle in our quest to gain a state berth this spring,” said Clear Lake Coach Eric Perry.  “Both teams struggled today.  When the weather and the ground conditions improve, so will our scores.”

Tate Storbeck claimed medalist honors and led the Lions with a 38.  New Hampton’s Carter Stochl was runner-up with a 39.

Kyle Calaguas and Evan Krause both carded 41s and Thomas Storbeck finished with a 43 for Clear Lake.  Jack Barragy and Carter Backhaus also played and scored 47 and 49 respectively.
