Municipal Band cancels season

unwise and unsafe to do so. Thank you all for your patience as we navigate uncharted territory.”
The band was scheduled to begin its season June 13 and continue weekends through July 19.
Borseth added that members are looking forward to the band’s 2021 season, which will be the 90th season for the ensemble. The band will celebrate its history, recognize the present, and look forward to a great future. The memory of Margaret Tue, who lost her battle with cancer this past year, will also be honored. Tue was a french horn player with the Municipal Band for many years.
Organizers of the Antique and Classic Boat Show announced they also will not be gathering in Clear Lake this year. The annual show was set to take place in the Sea Wall area July 18.
Another July event, the Clear Lake Public Library’s July 24-25 Ghost Boat cruise and Iowa Storytelling Festival, were also canceled. The decision followed an earlier announcement by the Clear Lake Arts Center saying it would not hold its Art Sail in City Park on July 25.
