Never Forget
[caption id="attachment_57770" align="alignleft" width="300"] James Smith took part in special ceremonies during the 9/11 service by placing a New York Yankees helmet at the local memorial honoring the 2,511 civilians killed on 9/11. Rain forced 9/11 services at the Clear Lake Fire Department indoors, but a good crowd attended to show their respect and remembrance of the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Special guest speaker for the event was Inspector Steven McArthur, Retired United States Secret Service. On Sept. 11, 2001, at the rank of Sergeant, McArthur was assigned to the Dignitary Protective Division – Foreign Missions Branch in Washington DC.
