Niles named to NCC Second Team

Clear Lake High School freshman Michaela Niles has been named to the All-North Central Conference teams. Niles, an outfielder for the Lions, was a Second Team pick.

“Michaela was always ready to go, made the adjustments and always stepped up to fill the spots we needed-- in left or center, as well as her spot in right field,” said Coach Megan Young. “She worked very hard and earned her recognition.”

Niles finished the 2014 season with a batting average of .368 and slugging percentage of .397. Her on-base percentage was .403. Her 25 hits during the season included two doubles. She tallied nine RBIs for the team and stole four bases.
