Perry Dean Hoefker

Perry Dean Hoefker, 65, of Clear Lake, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 26, 2025.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 19, 2025, from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at Rumorz Bar & Grill, 1210 South Shore Drive, Clear Lake, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the Clear Lake Fire Department or the Clear Lake VFW in Perry’s memory.

Perry was born on July 18, 1959, in Worthington, Minnesota, the son of Leroy and Carole (Hartman) Hoefker. He graduated from Worthington Senior High School with the Class of 1977. In August of that same year, he enlisted in the United States Army in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, proudly serving his country, including a tour in Germany.

Following his honorable discharge, Perry continued his education at Jackson Area Technical Institute, specializing in Electronic Technology. On November 25, 1977, he was united in marriage to Teresa Bremer in Worthington, Minnesota. Together they were blessed with two children, Josh

and Nikki.

The family later relocated to Clear Lake, Iowa, where Perry worked for Unisys. He also worked at Clear Lake Boats and retired from the Lehigh Cement Plant in Mason City. A dedicated public servant, Perry served as an EMT and volunteer firefighter with the Clear Lake Fire Department.

He enjoyed fishing trips to Canada, whittling and woodworking, and cheering on his favorite teams—the Minnesota Vikings, Twins, and Wild. A proud patriot, he was honored to serve as a chaperone on an Honor Flight and was a proud member of the Clear Lake VFW.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Carole Hoefker of Worthington, Minn.; his wife, Teresa Hoefker of Clear Lake; his children, Josh Hoefker and Nikki Hoefker (Jeremy Cody), both of Mason City; and his beloved grandchildren, Keagan, Nevaeh, and Carver Cody. He is also survived by his sister, Dawn Negrete; brothers, Kelly (Susan) Hoefker and Troy (Lori) Hoefker; sisters-in-law, Tammy (Wayne) Ling and Debbie (Brad) Strandberg; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Perry was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Hoefker, and his in-laws, Allan and Martha Bremer.
