Raymond E. Momyer

Ray Momyer, 84, of Mason City, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019.

A service will be held at a later date to honor Ray.

Ray was born March 12, 1935, to Charles and Hazel (Bokelman) Momyer.  He grew up on the family farm in Ventura, graduating from Ventura High School.

After graduation, Ray served his country in the United States Air Force.  Ray managed Tractor Supply Company for many years and later opened and owned Montgomery Ward Catalog Store in downtown Mason City.  He then worked in sales up until his retirement.

Ray is survived by a daughter, Sandy Momyer (Dion) King; grandchildren, Wesley King, Taylor King, Jenni King, and Christopher Kirschbaum; sisters, Phyllis Hanna, Ventura and Marilyn Sayles, Austin, Minn.; niece, Kathy Hanna; nephew, Steven Sayles; and special friend, Ellen Peterson.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Momyer; brothers-in-law, Bob Hanna and Bob Sayles; nephew, Doug Hanna; and niece, Suzzanne Sayles.

Ray was deeply loved and will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
