Robert G. Satter

Robert Gunn Satter, born Jan. 2, 1947, passed away peacefully April 13.  His struggle with cancer didn’t hamper his zest for life.

Bob grew up in Clear Lake, was an Eagle Scout and a lifeguard at City Beach. He loved the water and spent summers sailing and was a true laker! Bob graduated as a landscape architect from Iowa State University and used his love for the environment and skill in design to improve and create many projects.

In 1970, Bob married Pam Bergo Coffey and later divorced. Together they had two children. He left behind son, Zachary Gunn Satter, from California; daughter, Cassandra Marie, who is married to Scott Goodwin; and two beautiful grandchildren, Elizabeth Rose Goodwin and Gabrielle Ann Goodwin, from Washington, Iowa.

Bob lived life well, his way and always had a story, something to remember and laugh about! He was thankful for goods friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Nancy Satter; his twin brother, Rick Satter; and a younger brother, John.

Bob loved flowers, and in lieu of memorials the family asks that you give flowers to someone you love in his memory.  A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Jones & Eden Funeral Home, Washington, Iowa, is assisting the family with arrangements.
