She preceded him in death on Feb. 29, 2012. Bob and Darlene lived on Main Avenue in Clear Lake for 50 years and raised six children.

Bob was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 7898, Grain Millers Union, who he was also a negotiator for, North Iowa Men’s Garden Club, and he was a Boy Scout leader. He enjoyed going on fishing trips to Canada, family vacations “up north” in Minnesota, family pizza cooks and traveling to southern California. When he was younger, he and Darlene enjoyed nights working at the Surf Ballroom together. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren every chance he had.
Bob is survived by six children, Jim (Zenash) Linahon, of Claremont, Calif., Tom (Judy) Linahon, of Clear Lake, Gary (Joan) Linahon, of Ames, Iowa, Dan (Julia) Linahon, of Mason City, Deb (Todd) Shill, of Grinnell, Iowa, and Tim (Lori) Linahon, of Newton, Iowa; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
