Ronald S. Glanville

Ronald S. Glanville, 57, left our land “our world” on April 1, 2016 at his home in Clear Lake following a battle with cancer.  He was the husband of Carrie for 21 years.

There will be a time of gathering for family and friends from 4:40-7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016, at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake.

Ron was born June 24, 1958 in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Bob and Yvonne (Rule) Glanville.  He graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1977.

He worked for Charlson Excavating, Clear Lake, for over 30 years.

Ron had expressed plans for the future of his beloved family land which he grew up on; to grow prairie flowers and grasses, for the future generations to enjoy.

He will be remembered by his wife, Carrie Glanville, Clear Lake; mother-in-law, Janet R. Albright, Des Moines; his aunt and uncle, Mary and Bill Stoynoff, Ventura, Iowa; the Cady family, Des Moines; his three sisters-in-law, Cindia (John) Badger, Des Moines, Cathy (Tom) Goldman, Des Moines, and Cheryl Clark, Des Moines; cousins, Nick (Linda) Stoynoff and son, Bill, Compton Hills, Ill., Tom (Mary Jo) Glanville, Ames, Iowa, Scott (Pam) Riley, Minneapolis, Minn. and Susan Riley and her children, John and Emily, Springfield, Va.; and nieces and nephews.

Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
