Sally L. Kennedy
Sally L. Kennedy, 86, of Clear Lake, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at the Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation, Webster City, Iowa.
Celebration of Sally’s life was held on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dr. Pat Hall officiating of Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake. Burial was in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Sally was born May 6, 1930, in Belmond, Iowa, the daughter of Spurgeon and Jessie (Trees) Sarber. She graduated from Belmond High School in 1948 as Valedictorian.
She married Lloyd Kennedy on Jan. 17, 1954, in Belmond.
She worked at Lehigh Portland Cement Company as a secretary and then in 1967 went to work for Clear Lake Federal Savings and Loan Company, Clear Lake and then Pioneer Federal Savings, Clear Lake until she retired.
She and Lloyd enjoyed going to casinos and playing bingo and spending their winters in Henderson, Nev.She enjoyed reading and being a reading buddy at school. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Beta Sigma Phi.
Sally is survived by many nieces and nephews; her cousins, Marylyn Trees, Dena Trees, David Trees, Maggie Trees. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; three infant sons, Randy Jay, Jeffrey Rae and Gary Lee; two brothers, Stanford and DeWitt Sarber and two sisters, Alice Henry and Rosemary Bird.
Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
