Sholly signs with Tufts University

Clear Lake High School senior Justin Sholly signed a national letter of intent last week to play football at Tufts University in Massachusetts. Sholly led Clear Lake’s defensive unit, which finished second in scoring defense in District 2, averaging 18.1 over 10 games, as well as total defense.  Sholly was named the Most Valuable Defensive Player on the Class 2A District 2 All-District Team.  He ranked third in the district in total tackles with 57 solo and 50 assisted.   Looking on at the signing are his parents, Kristy and Kevin (seated), along with Clear Lake Head Coach Jared DeVries and Assistant Coach Troy Tysdahl.-Submitted photo.
