The Clear Lake girls track team will be represented at the State Track Meet by its Shuttle Hurdle relay team.

Although Olivia Amos, Bella Parker, Ashley Archer and Maria Fessler placed fourth at the District Meet run at Garner last week, their time was good enough to secure an at-large spot at the blue oval.

“The girls performed their best on this night, running 1:10.60,” said Coach Shawn Puttmann.

Archer and Fessler also had individual placements at the meet.  Archer was seventh in the long jump with a leap of 14’5.75”, while Fessler was eighth in the 100 hurdles in a time of 17.19.

Macy Mixdorf earned fifth place in the 200 dash in 28.27 and was a member of the fifth place 4x200 relay which also included Archer, Sharrell Lee and Gabriela Gonzalez.

The 4x100 with Kaylee Nosbisch, Gonzalez, Archer and Halie Westendorf placed seventh in 55.20.  The 4x400 was also seventh in a time of 4:32.17.  That relay featured Parker, Sky Toyne, Mixdorf and Riley Cooney.

Clear Lake’s Sprint Medley with Nosbisch, Gonzalez, Mixdorf and Toyne was eighth in 2:02.26.

“The girls did very well in all the events that we entered in.  I was very proud of their performances,” added Coach Puttmann.
