Snelling earns IGCA All-State recognition
The Iowa Girls Coaches Association (IGCA) has released its 2016 All-State Basketball teams and Clear Lake’s Emily Snelling has been honored.
The Clear Lake junior was a Class 3A Second Team selection.
Snelling was the Lions’ leading scorer, averaging 17.1 points per game. She sunk 41 percent of her field goal attempts for a total of 359 points. She also led the team at the free throw line, connecting on 80 of 109 attempts for 73.4 percent. Her aggressive play yielded a team-high 102 steals and six blocked shots.
In addition to being a unanimous First Team All-North Central Conference pick, Snelling was named to the Class 3A Northwest Regional team, All-District Team and was a Third Team All-State selection.
