Tracy A. Hennigar
Tracy Ann Hennigar, 51, of Hanlontown, Iowa died Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, Mason City, Iowa.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 at the Grace Lutheran Church, Hanlontown, with the Rev. Linda Prestholt-Johnson officiating. Inurnment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, Manly, Iowa. Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 4, from 5-7 p.m. at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, and then one hour before the service on Friday at the church.

Tracy was born May 8, 1965 in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Larry and Sharon (Kaster) McIlrath. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1983 and later continued her education and obtained her degree from N.I.A.C.C., Mason City.
Tracy married Roger Hennigar on May 18, 1985, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa and to this union they had four children, Danielle, Justin, Samantha and Daniel.
She worked at Good Shepherd Health Center, Mason City, for over 25 years as a C.N.A. and Med Aid.
She enjoyed her pets, spending time outdoors, fishing, walks at Lime Creek Nature Center, hunting mushrooms, asparagus and jogging. She also enjoyed canning corn with her sister, Dawn, and making jelly. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events to cheer them on. She especially enjoyed surprising her family.
She was a member of the Hanlontown Volunteer Fire Dept. as a fire fighter and also served on the EMS as an E.M.T.
Tracy is survived by her husband of 31 years, Roger Hennigar, Hanlontown; four children, Danielle (Dan) Dirksen, Plymouth, Iowa, Justin (Samantha) Hennigar, Clear Lake, Samantha (Dylan Alitz) Hennigar, Mason City, and Daniel Hennigar, Hanlontown; seven grandchildren, Dawson, Delayne and Daphne Dirksen, Ronnie, Kastiel and Damien Alitz and Arya Hennigar; her father, Larry (Amy Dixon) McIlrath, Mason City; two brothers, Jeff (Marie) McIlrath, Decorah, Iowa and Joe (Chris) McIlrath, Mason City; her sister, Dawn (Bruce) Wasenius, Plymouth, Iowa; mother-in-law, Shirley Richardson, Manly, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Teresa Hennigar, Lake Mills, Iowa and Ramona (Sheldon) Torkelson, Kasson, Minn.; two godchildren, Chelsea and Tara; and aunts, uncles, cousins and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Shinn; father-in-law, Arthur Hennigar; and step father-in-law, John Richardson.
Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
