Maxine Louise Atkinson, 91, passed away Dec. 10, 2015, at Sandy Lake Care Center in Coppell, Texas.

A private memorial service will be held Wednesday evening, Dec. 23, 2015, at First United Methodist Church, Coppell, Texas and a celebration of life event is being planned for the summer in Clear Lake.

Clifford Mourlam

Clifford Edward Mourlam, 95, of Clear Lake, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in, Mason City, Iowa.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Pat Hall officiating.  Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, in Mason City.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of North Iowa.

As the year comes to a close, we take a look back at the stories which dominated the headlines in 2015.

# 1 It’s McKesson!

The biggest story of the year was actually the same story which topped the 2014 review.  In February the McKesson Corporation, the largest pharmaceutical distributor in North America, was introduced as the future tenant of a 340,000 square foot building under construction in the city’s Larry Luker Memorial Industrial Park.
