Karen Clark

Karen Clark, 76, of Mason City,  Iowa, passed away May 11, 2015, at Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City.

A Catholic service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd Street N.E., Mason City, with the Rev. Kenneth B. Gehling officiating.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Rockwell.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa.

Karen M. Clark, was born July 25, 1938, in Rockwell, Iowa, daughter of Paul and Bernice (Meyer) Kirk.  She graduated from Rockwell High School.  She was united in marriage to Kenneth Clark on May 12, 1956, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockwell, and to this union three children were born.  Karen worked as a library assistant for the Rockwell Schools and for NIACC.  She was an active member in the St. Joseph Catholic Church. 

She enjoyed restoring antique furniture, volunteering as a secretary at North Iowa Free Dental Clinic, spending time with family, grandchildren and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Ken Clark; son, Tim (Rhonda) Clark; daughter, Kim Clark (Dean Barkema); grandchildren, Matthew Stadtlander, Jennifer Luther, Jacob Luther, MacKenzie Clark and Sarah Johnson; mother, Bernice Kirk; one sister, Susan (Ronnie) Swanson; two brothers, Tim (Joan) Kirk and Daniel (Leanna) Kirk.

Karen is preceded in death by her father, Paul Kirk; and one daughter, Kathy Clark.

Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, was in charge of arrangements.
