Class 3A Region 2 post season to begin July 8

Clear Lake and Garner-Hayfield/Ventura softball teams will begin Class 3A Region 2 post-season play Wednesday, July 8.

The Lions (0-18) will travel to Cresco to take on Crestwood (19-3) in a 7 p.m. game.  The winner will advance to play either Osage (14-6) or New Hampton (10-18) Friday night, July 10, at Cresco.

GHV (15-12) will host Algona (11-11) in their first round game on Wednesday, July 8.  Game time is 7 p.m.  The winner will meet Estherville-Lincoln Central (16-5) or Forest City (7-23) in the second round.  That game will be played at 7 p.m. Friday, July 10, at E-LC.
