Alan D. Patro

Alan D. Patro, 53, of Clear Lake, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa after a short battle with cancer.

A celebration of Alan’s life was held on Tuesday Sept. 15, 2015, at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with Rev. Dr. Pat Hall, of Zion Lutheran Church officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.  Family suggests memorials to Alan D. Patro memorial fund.

Alan was born in Mason City, on Jan. 20, 1962.  He attended Clear Lake High School.

He had various jobs in the Mason City and Clear Lake areas.  He enjoyed walking, fishing and dining out with his buddies.  In his younger years he enjoyed coon hunting and trapping.

He is survived by his mother, Nancey (John) Guhl, Clear Lake; his sister, Joleen (Ron) Wheeler, Mason City; nephews, Joe Hall, Chris Jensen and Zach Jensen, all of Mason City; two great nieces, Maddisen Hall and Noel Jensen; father, Louis Patro, Edgewood, Iowa; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and a brother-in-law, Pete Jensen.

Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
