Daniel L. Jensen

Daniel Lee Jensen, 48, of Clear Lake, died Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

A Celebration of Life will be from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, in Clear Lake.

Family suggests memorial contributions to the Daniel Jensen Memorial Fund.

Daniel was born July 20, 1967, the son of Ken and Mary (Olson) Jensen in Fairmont, Minn.  He graduated from Fairmont High School in 1985 and attended Mankato Vocational Technical College, in Mankato, Minn.

Daniel was an avid NASCAR fan who also enjoyed fantasy sports, bowling, playing softball, and cycling.  He liked watching Netflix, playing video games and taking naps frequently.  He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.  Even in the event of his death, Daniel was still able to help others by being a tissue donor.

Daniel is survived by three children, Ryan (fiancé, Shana Haugen) Jensen, of Clear Lake, Anna Jensen, of Clear Lake, and Jenna (fiancé, Mark Lettow) Bassett, of Iowa Falls, Iowa; parents, Ken and Mary Jensen, of Edina, Minn.; two siblings, Diane (Mark) Murphy, of Janesville, Minn. and Dave (Mary Pat) Jensen, of Elko, Minn.; a grandmother, Luella Jensen, of Armstrong, Iowa; five nieces, Leigh (Matt) Wendinger, of New Ulm, Minn., Lauren Weber, of Mankato, Minn., Kristen Weber, of Mankato, Minn., Skyler Jensen, of Elko, Minn. and Lindey Jensen of Elko; a special friend, Rosalinda Rodriguez, of Clear Lake; and his aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
