Joint investigation of burglaries leads to arrest of MC man
A Mason City man has been arrested on charges stemming from an ongoing joint investigation with several agencies including the Clear Lake Police Department.
During the joint investigation, Johnny Lee Baugh, 52, became a person of interest in several burglaries committed in Clear Lake and the surrounding area from January through September 2016.
The Clear Lake Police Department filed four counts of Third Degree Burglary, a class D Felony, and one count of Ongoing Criminal Conduct, a class B Felony.
According to Clear Lake Police Chief Pete Roth, this case remains under investigation.
Baugh was arrested on Friday, Sept. 2, and taken to Cerro Gordo County Jail. He is being held on $100,000 cash on bond.
A court date of 8:30 a.m. Sept. 9, has been set for Baugh.
